Possibly the Strangest Soviet Book About Nuclear Energy

The Atom and the Postage Stamp, published in Moscow by the Atomizdat publishing house in 1978. I would never have guessed that this book existed, but it's for sale on the Russian equivalent of eBay. I suspect that it's about the many atomic-energy themed stamps issued by the Soviet postal service.

Cool. There has always been an active branch of philately that collects covers with atomic/nuclear themes with illustrations drawn from nuclear power, atomic weapons, uranium production, and the radiologic sciences, such as x-ray tubes, radiographs. It's a well represented topical specialty in stamp collecting.

I wonder if it just deals with Soviet postage, or if it includes the other Iron Curtain countries as well. They too issued many nuclear/atomic themed covers as well.
